Vegas Vacation

Kira and I went to Las Vegas for a little over a week before our family trip to the river. Trisha and her kids were there from Kansas City so we had a lot of fun hanging out with the cousins and my sisters and grandma.
It was hot so went swimming a bunch of times and Kira is a little fish for sure.

We met up for a dollar movie one morning. We even got a babysitter one day for a few hours so my sisters and my mom and I could go get pedicures and go to lunch without the kids. Kira already misses her cousins now that we are back and has asked me a least 20 times "where's Maren?" (or Luke or Bentley...) Poor thing is back to being an only child instead of being around 10 other kids. I love watching her with all of them. Here she is with Amelia in the new pjs grandma got them.

9 months

L to R: Maggie, Kate holding Will, Maren holding Amelia, Evan, Parker holding Kira, Luke and Bentley

Things sure change fast around here. Kira just turned 9 months old this week. She now has her own language which I'm sure will translate into something very soon. She is constantly waving "hi" and "bye." And saying mamma and dada... But she says dada a lot more, of course. She is getting her 5th and 6th teeth right now. (so fun) You wouldn't believe the stuff she gets into if we aren't watching - she's crawling faster and faster and now pulls herself up and gets down (sometimes) by herself. She sure is fun to watch! Soon she'll be walking on her own and talking to us. Wow.

We had tons of fun visiting my family at the end on September. Kira got to see all her cousins and we met little Will for the first time. What an angel! He's the newest addition to the Teeples clan.

Flying and family

Kira flew for the first time last week and she did so well. We had a lot of fun visiting my family and hanging out in sisterland. I think Kira was really intrigued and amused by all the little kids running around. I met my new niece, Amelia. She is such a doll. I hope we get to do it again soon! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us stay with you!
