China Doll

Since our metro train stop was in Chinatown, we walked around the shops after the fair. We found this adorable little dress for 5 bucks and couldn't resist. Kira wore it to church today and looked as cute as can be.

Off to the fair

We went to the Renegade Craft Fair in downtown yesterday. It was fun to ride the Metro and Kira thought that was the best part and there was a huge field for her to run in. Plus I actually got her to sit still long enough for pigtails and she looks so grown up!

The *not so* itsy bitsy spider

This creature "attacked" Kira in the bath the other day. Needless to say, she was not very pleased to have her bathtime shared with a creepy crawler. She screamed to get out as soon as she saw it.

Midsummer update

Our baby is 30 months old... in other words - she is 2 1/2! She is growing up way too fast! Here is a little update from the last couple months:

We made it to Disneyland one last time before we were blocked out for the summer. It was very crowded and hot but we had fun meeting up with Uncle Zack and Aunt Jill and cousins Jack, Mandarin and Zaylee. We saw the new parade and Kira woke up just in time to see it. She loves to take really long naps in the middle of our visits to Disneyland. Quite unusual for her. We went on a canoe ride that I never knew existed. The kids got us all wet but we laughed the whole time. It was a fun day and we ended the day seeing the new Tron stuff in California Adventure.

Kira's learned some new ways to play. She loves forts and hiding and "helping" with chores. She's lots of fun.

We went to Mandarin and Zaylee's birthday party. Kira had a lot of fun running non-stop. The dragon on the wall was her favorite so we had to get picture of it. She even wore the hat long enough for me to get pictures. After they opened presents, Kira got ahold of a new remote control toy and went crazy.

On July 4th we went to Joanne Andersen's wedding reception and as you can see, Kira wanted to dive into the waterfall. She had fun with her cousins and the other kids at the party. Later that night we went to see the fireworks on the pier. It was a busy day but fun to see my sister and her family.

A few days later Kira and I met up with Robyn and Janitsy and their kids at the beach. It was the first time of the summer and Kira loved it. She wanted to dive into the waves (luckily I had a good grip on her). The sand was a weapon, a toy and a tool. She was covered in it of course but we had a great time.

Here's a park day in the heat and Kira exhausted after a morning playing with daddy. I came home and she was sacked out asleep on her chair.
