Easter

We were lucky enough to share one Easter tradition - dying eggs with my family and another with John's family - egg hunt and Easter dinner. Kira had lots of fun with her cousins and thoroughly enjoyed the eggs and the candy. I took some pics in my parent's beautiful yard of Kira in her dress. I'm glad we live close enough to both families so we can share in the festivities!

iNdEpEnDeNcE dAy!

Kira and I got to spend the holiday weekend with my family (John had to work). We had a lot of fun even though it was hot - we went swimming twice, plus the baby pool in the yard.

Kira:
-played with her cousins as much as possible and got carried around a lot



-liked Grandpa by the time we left
-did great with a babysitter
-tortured the cat the whole time
-loved my parent's new porch swing. Every morning she would point outside and say "swing"

-went to nursery for the first time. Can't believe she's already 18 months old!

I went to see Eclipse with my mom and sister, Dad took us all to dinner, and hung out with the fam. We had a great time on the 4th - playing games, making homemade ice cream and root beer and lighting off our own fireworks. We made matching flag shirts for the kids (see pic) and they looked very patriotic and extra cute. What a great way to celebrate this great country we live in! Thanks, Mom and Dad for letting us hang out with you! :-) It was so much fun!
